Fear is a liar...who is the master of fear? Our enemy. He relishes in telling God's children what they can't do. I believe it is one of his favorite things to do. Because like the song says the fear robs us of our joy, our rest, and our happiness. Fear will make us stop right where we are, forever halting what God has for us, until we put fear down like a rabid dog and move on. We are in a battle with fear daily. I battle fear every single day. Some might ask, "you're a pretty big guy, what are you scared of?" I'm afraid of failing. I'm afraid of not being a good enough father or husband. I'm afraid I'm constantly making the wrong decisions. And if I continue to listen to the LIES of the enemy that is exactly what I'll do and be. An utter failure. I am not called to live in a spirit of fear. When Christ died for me, He died to defeat fear. Through His power I can overcome any obstacle and so can you.
Today is Good Friday. A holy day for christians all over the world. But it isn't a day of fear. It's a somber time to remember the sacrifice that was made for us all. Don't give into fear.
Everywhere on social media I read of people with great cause to fear. Cancer, job issues, rocky relationships, debilitating sickness, and I could go on and on. All reasons for concern but not reasons for fear if we live and trust in Christ.
Don't believer fear. Don't believe the enemy. Fear and the enemy are liars. Trust in the Truth. Trust and believe in a risen Christ today.
